A Mindfulness Program for Caregivers

Caregivers can learn to reduce stress and increase daily joy by practicing proven mindfulness techniques as part of a supportive online and in-person community. This program is designed to accommodate those who struggle to create time for self-care by providing nourishing practices that can be built into everyday activities. Connect, re-charge and feed your joy!

This program is in the design phase and we need your help! If you are a personal or professional caregiver, your feedback is much appreciated. By completing the survey below, you can help to improve quality of life for all caregivers.

 Mindfulness in the Workplace

Mindful Stress Management – 1hr Workshop

This introduction to mindfulness meditation to designed for busy professionals. Participants will learn:

– how build mindfulness into daily activities
– short meditations that strengthen focus, emotional balance and compassion
– breathing techniques for immediate stress relief
– gentle stretches that relieve back, neck and shoulder tension

Location: This workshop is designed to be experienced in a workplace setting and only requires a chair for each participant

Weekly Mindfulness Meditation- 1hr/week

This regular mindful meditation and mindful stretching session provides participants with the ongoing support they need to manage stress in the workplace. The hour can be split into three 20 minute sessions or two 30 minute sessions to make the class accessible to all employees.

Time: Scheduling is flexible- lunch hour classes are popular

Location: These sessions are designed to be experienced in a workplace setting and only require a chair for each participant

MBSR 8-Week Course

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction

Do you suffer from anxiety, chronic pain, depression, insomnia, fibromyalgia, high blood pressure, lower back pain or an auto-immune disorder?

This clinically proven program is designed to reduce the physical and psychological pain of stress through mindfulness meditation and therapeutic yoga. Learn the skills you need to face life’s difficulties with greater calm and compassion.

This course will be offered in the summer of 2018. If you’re interested, please contact Kristen and you will be notified once the program is scheduled. 

The Mindful Parent

This 4-week course for adults gives parents time away from their children to learn the fundamentals of mindful meditation for themselves, while also providing mindful parenting techniques and child-friendly activities to be used in the home. Both you and your child can experience more emotional balance, concentration and an increased sense of well being by learning mindfulness together! Adult and child-friendly meditations are provided each week.

Week #1: Caring for Our Bodies-  developing physical awareness

Week #2: How the Brain Works-  strengthening mental awareness and concentration

Week #3: Minding BIG Emotions- stress management techniques

Week #4: Me and We- fostering compassion and community

The Mindful Parent is offered as a private lesson in your home or in a rented yoga studio. The more people that join, the more savings for everyone. Please contact Kristen if you have a group of parents that are interested and we can arrange a place and time that suits your schedule.
